V1 Casino bonuses calculated in AUD

Updated
A bonus is worth what remains after its conditions are applied, and we publish those conditions so that they can be turned into arithmetic. Our four offers are a welcome offer of 100% on the first deposit with 150 free spins, a reload of 150%, weekly cashback of 50% with 50 free spins, and a loyalty programme in seasons of three months. We do not set one multiplier for all offers: each offer carries its own wagering multiplier in the terms shown with it, and we do not repeat a number here that could be mistaken for it. The amounts in the tables are examples of the method, and none of them is a limit of an offer.
Claim bonusThe welcome offer
A deposit of AUD 100 with a 100% match gives a bonus of AUD 100 and a balance of AUD 200. What must be staked afterwards is the wagering base multiplied by the multiplier of the offer. We state the base in the tables, and the member supplies the multiplier from the terms.
| Example deposit | Bonus at 100% | Base if the offer uses the bonus alone | Base if it uses deposit plus bonus |
|---|---|---|---|
| AUD 50 | AUD 50 | AUD 50 | AUD 100 |
| AUD 100 | AUD 100 | AUD 100 | AUD 200 |
| AUD 200 | AUD 200 | AUD 200 | AUD 400 |
The base doubles when the offer is applied to deposit plus bonus, and so does the amount that has to be staked. Which basis applies is the first line to read in an offer.
The reload
A reload of 150% on a deposit of AUD 100 gives a bonus of AUD 150 and a balance of AUD 250. The percentage is larger than the welcome match, so the base is larger, and the stakes needed rise in the same proportion.
| Example deposit | Bonus at 150% | Base if the offer uses the bonus alone |
|---|---|---|
| AUD 50 | AUD 75 | AUD 75 |
| AUD 100 | AUD 150 | AUD 150 |
| AUD 200 | AUD 300 | AUD 300 |
When we compare the welcome match and the reload for a member, we compare the base and not the percentage: the reload on AUD 100 carries a base one and a half times that of the welcome match on the same deposit.
Game weighting applied to every AUD 100 of wagering
Slots contribute in full. Table games usually contribute between ten and twenty per cent, and live dealer tables contribute at reduced rates. The stakes needed to clear each AUD 100 of wagering change with the game.
| Game type | Contribution | Stakes needed per AUD 100 |
|---|---|---|
| Slots | 100% | AUD 100 |
| Table games | 20% | AUD 500 |
| Table games | 10% | AUD 1,000 |
Some titles do not contribute at all. A member who wants to clear a bonus efficiently plays the games that count in full.
The cost of clearing
Every stake carries the house edge of the game. On a slot with a return of 96%, stakes of AUD 1,000 are expected to cost AUD 40. Multiply the stakes that an offer requires by four per cent and the result is the price of clearing, which should be set against the bonus received.
A conversion cap, where an offer has one, limits the cash into which bonus winnings are turned. We state it with the offer, and it applies however high the balance climbs during play.
Cashback and free spins
Weekly cashback returns 50% of the qualifying amount that the offer defines, together with 50 free spins. If the qualifying amount in a week is AUD 100, the cashback is AUD 50. Free spins carry an expiry that is shorter than the expiry of bonus funds, and we advise members to play them first.
The stake cap
While wagering runs, one ceiling applies to each individual stake. A single stake above it can void the bonus and any winnings built from it. The ceiling is shown with the offer, and we ask members to check it before they change the size of a bet.
The order in which we read an offer
- Find the basis of the wagering: bonus alone, or deposit plus bonus.
- Find the multiplier in the terms and apply it to the base.
- Find the stake cap and keep every stake under it.
- Find the game contribution and choose games that count.
- Find the expiry of the funds and of the free spins.
- Find the conversion cap, if there is one, and compare it with the bonus.
- Work out the cost of clearing and set it against the bonus.
An offer that is not worth taking
Arithmetic sometimes shows that an offer should be declined. If the base of a small bonus is large relative to the deposit, if the member prefers table games that count at a low rate, or if the stake cap forces a bet size the member does not want, the cost of clearing can exceed the value of the bonus. A deposit made without taking the offer carries no wagering, and our cashier lets a member decide this before the deposit is confirmed.
Loyalty seasons
Our loyalty programme runs in seasons of three months, and progress is measured within a season. Mystery drops and tournaments belong to the programme. Questions about a member’s tier go to [email protected].
